12/6/2007 - PRESS RELEASE--Police Aquire "SeaDoo GTI SE"

PRESS RELEASE

Delanco Township Police Chief Edmund T. Parsons announced the acquisition of a new “SeaDoo GTI SE” watercraft. This acquisition is the result of a loaner program with “Surf & Turf Powersports” on Route 38 in Lumberton, NJ. Delanco Township bounded by the Delaware River and the Rancocas Creek, which comprise over seven (7) miles of waterway. The new “SeaDoo” will be utilized in assisting the emergency squad and fire department in water rescue operations, and other related emergencies in addition to accessing those areas normally isolated from the police.

On December 5th, Mr. Coby Frier, owner of “Surf and Turf Powersports,” provided a “SeaDoo GTI SE watercraft to the Delanco Police Department on a one year loan, at no cost to the township. This was accomplished via the “Government / Public Service Loaner Program,” which is administrated by “Surf and Turf Powersports.” At the end of the one year the police department may reapply for a newer model for another year.

All officers will receive training in the operation and use of the “SeaDoo.”
