STATUS OF THE DELANCO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SQUAD

Recently the Township Committee was advised by the leadership of the Delanco Emergency Medical Squad (EMS) that they are seriously considering disbanding due to declining membership.  This important organization has provided valuable life-saving volunteer service to our community for many years. 

As a result, the Township Committee formed a sub-committee to meet with all the affected parties to plan for a transition to an alternate ambulance service.  The sub-committee will develop the standards for service to Delanco, get legal advice on the process and take the appropriate actions to determine what to recommend to the full Township Committee. 

Information will be provided as this process proceeds in the next few months.  In the meantime, residents should be assured that there is back-up ambulance service to insure everyone’s safety.
