Two projects involving road and drainage work are set to commence as early as next week, September 12.  Work will take place over a 30 to 60 day period, depending on the project and weather.

TC Landscape Construction will be replacing sidewalks and adding storm sewers and inlets on Cooper Street between Hickory St and Pennsylvania Ave.  This $95,000 project is funded with a $75,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through Burlington County with the balance covered by Township capital funds.

American Asphalt Company will be paving Maple Ave between Third St and Burlington Ave plus Vine St between Delaware Ave and Buttonwood St.  Required curb, gutter and driveway apron work will be included along with necessary shade tree removals as approved by the Delanco Shade Tree Commission.  This $290,000 project is funded with $150,000 in State Road Aid with the balance covered by Township capital funds.  Road improvements such as this are done annually in various  locations in town using this combination of funding.

Residents should be aware that there will be periodic road and lane closings in the area of the work.  Residents adjacent to the work will receive direct notices.  Anyone who has questions or is impacted can call the municipal building at 856-461-0561.
