The Delanco Township Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with New Jersey Transit Police Department’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with other state, county and local agencies, will be conducting a training exercise on Saturday, May 3rd on the New Jersey Transit RiverLine’s train bridge crossing the Rancocas Creek beginning at 8AM.
The drill, which will gauge responses to a simulated transportation incident, will take approximately three (3) hours to complete. Residents are advised that there will be an increased presence of emergency personnel in the area around the Delanco RiverLine station and the Delanco-Riverside train bridge.
The drill will be contained to the train bridge and the immediate vicinity and is not open to the public.
There will be road closures on Pennsylvania Avenue, Union Avenue between Mulberry Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, and Rancocas Avenue between Poplar Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
New Jersey Transit has advised from approximately 6:00 AM until noon, all southbound RiverLine trains will operate 15 minutes later than regularly scheduled.
