NEW JERSEY AMERICAN WATER (NJAW) MAIN REPLACEMENT & SERVICE TIE-INS

Mayor Suess and Township Officials met with NJAW this morning regarding the ongoing project bringing new water mains and service tie-ins from Kansas Avenue to Illinois Avenue. The initial phase of main replacement work is complete on Kansas Avenue and will be completed on Iowa Avenue by end of week. Work will continue onto the north side of West Avenue beginning tomorrow or early next week, followed by work on Illinois Avenue.

Notices will be delivered to affected homes by the contractor and emailed to NJAW customers.

The next step will be work at each of the street crossings with Burlington Avenue.  Please anticipate possible traffic detours on Burlington Avenues during this phase.

Later this Fall, new service pits for homes will be installed along with water tie-ins. Any required lead pipe remediation or meter replacement will be addressed at that time.
NJAW understands that streets in this area are newly paved and will be fully restored with new paving in early Spring 2026.
