In January 2026, the Township requested proposals for an age-restricted/senior residential redevelopment opportunity.

On February 27, 2026, proposals were received for the purchase and development of the 401 Creek Road property. After extensive review of those proposals, the Township chose to begin negotiations with Lennar as the developer.

On June 15, 2026, representatives from Lennar gave a brief overview of their current proposal. At that meeting Resolution 26-87 was adopted authorizing execution of a letter of intent with Lennar Corp. for Redevelopment of 401 Creek Road (Block 2100, Lot 11) and naming US Home, LLC d/b/a Lennar (Lennar) as conditional developer. The Letter of Intent established a good-faith negotiation period of sixty (60) days, allowing for any extension by mutual written agreement.

On August 3, 2026, Resolution 2026-111 was adopted, extending the Letter of Intent negotiation period to September 21, 2026. On September 21, 2026, Resolution 2026-135 was adopted, extending the negotiation period to November 16, 2026.
